Alfonso "Chito" Diaz IV, a beloved son, brother and friend, danced his way into the hearts of many before his untimely passing on July 27, 2024, in Los Angeles, CA. Born on November 19, 1999, Chito left a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Chito's journey through life was filled with moments of joy and laughter as he touched the hearts of many with his fun-loving and caring nature. He showed a passion for dance, which he perfected throughout his life. He graduated from Bell Gardens High School where he excelled in band, flags, and dance. He earned the title of president of the dance club, captivating everyone with his flawless moves and charismatic charm. Graduating in 2017, he was hailed as the class favorite with a bold declaration, "Hollywood, here I come." His passion for dance transcended mere movement—his graceful and immaculate style left a lasting impression on all who were fortunate to witness it.
Post-graduation, Chito took the beauty industry by storm, attending esthetician school and acquiring his license. His talent for makeup showcased his artistic flair, which extended beyond the surface to touch the lives of friends and family through his artistic expression.
Those who were fortunate enough to cross paths with Chito will remember his infectious personality. He had a knack for making people smile with his quick wit, dad jokes, and random noises. If Chito held you dear, his unwavering presence and spontaneous acts of kindness were testaments to his caring nature. Whether surprising you with your favorite drink or serenading you with a heartfelt "Happy Birthday," his gestures made every occasion feel special. He loved to facetime or call just to"chismear."
With his sister, Jasmine, he shared an unbreakable bond forged in love and understanding. Their adventures and shared laughter illuminated many lives. Together, in Costa Mesa, along with Jasmine's boyfriend Jaime, they created a home filled with love and support, illustrating the depth of their connection. They shared a deep bond that transcended any disagreements, always standing by each other's side through thick and thin.
Chito's love for his family extended to his mother, Thania, father Alfonso and step mother Rose who cherished the memories they created together. His presence brought joy and warmth to their lives, making every moment spent with him precious. He enjoyed teasing his sister and his doggy niece, Bella, finding joy in the simple pleasures of everyday interactions.
In the kitchen, Chito's culinary skills shone brightly, bridging hearts through his delicious food. His famous mac & cheese, hand-made tortillas, and savory sopa de fideo were not just meals but expressions of love shared with family and friends. It was his way of bonding.
A visitation in honor of Chito will be held on August 22, 2024, at Forest Lawn - Cypress - Hope Chapel in Cypress, California, followed by a Funeral Service at Forest Lawn - Cypress - Patriots Chapel. These gatherings will provide an opportunity for family and friends to come together to celebrate his life and share memories of the cherished moments spent in his company.
Chito's legacy of love and laughter will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. His presence will be deeply missed, but the memories of his kindness and humor will continue to bring comfort in the days ahead.
