Aleida Bogle
June 11th 1929 - August 29, 2013

Aleida Bogle, 84 years old who lived in Carson, CA passed away August 29, 2013 after a brief illness. She was born in Camaguey, Cuba to Jane McTyson Samuels and Ivanhoe Samuels of Cuba on July 11, 1929. Aleida migrated to the United States in 1960 to attend Fred Jordan Bible College, where she met and married Pastor (Dr.) Clement Bogle in August of 1961 in Los Angeles, CA. From this union, they had three children: Clement Jr, Elizabeth and Marilyn.

Aleida Bogle was an industrious woman who had a long career with the Los Angeles County Department of Social Services for many years until her retirement. After retirement she dedicated her time to family and working alongside her husband fulltime in the ministry at Cherry Ave Church of God in Long Beach. Aleida was a great attribute and lighthouse to so many people, never failing to provide to the needy, feed the hungry or console those with broken hearts. She was a mom to all she came in contact with. She was a dedicated and highly caring Godly woman who gave her heart to the Lord at a very early age. No one who ever met her, walked away without a sense of happiness and satisfaction.

Aleida had a way of making people see the greatness in themselves and the overall joy of making decisions that were practical and righteous in the eyes of the Lord. She will be remembered for her love for life and above all her empathy for the poor.

Aleida, you will be greatly missed. You always talked about becoming a "servant of the gospel by the gift of God's grace." You lived your life in accordance with the scripture. Colossians 3:23 says "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters." There is no greater person that lived this message than you did. In all your actions, "you worked at it with all your heart, always guided by your faith." Thank you for the lessons you taught us. With teary eyes, we again say "Thank You" for all the love you gave us all.

Aleida is survived by her husband of 52 years, Pastor (Dr.) Clement Bogle, her children: Clement Bogle Jr, Elizabeth Bogle-Peters and Marilyn Fadal; grand children: Kiyoshi, Breanna, Asha, Justin, Maya, Allyxis, Austin, and Avient-Lauryn ; her brothers Aston Samuels, Alejandro Samuels and Juan Samuels. Several nieces and nephews among whom are: Manuel Samuels, Antonio I. Grizzell, Miriam Parisi, Ivan Samuels and Noel Samuels of California, Aston, Rene, Cynthia, Noel and Victor Samuels of Florida, and Alejandro Samuels and several other nieces and nephews of Cuba. Also, a host of great and great-great nieces and nephews. In addition to her beloved extended Bogle family.

She was loved by all and will be deeply missed by members of the Cherry Avenue Church of God. In addition to the various communities she touched over the years through her mission and the extended families she leaves behind worldwide.
