Alberto "Bert' Rapadas, 68 was called home to the Lord on January 29, 2021. Alberto was born on January 3, 1953, in Zone II Bantay, Ilocos Sur, Philippines, the middle son of Jose and Anastacia Rapadas, and brother of Romy and Carlito. Alberto was married to Lerma Lagria Rapadas and had two sons, Benjie Von, Bryan and one daughter, Joana Marie "Neneng".


He graduated at National University in Manila in 1970. He spent his career as Mechanical Engineer at Department of Public Works and Highways for 33 years. His colleagues, who also became close friends, remember him as happy and hard-working man. He retired in 2013 but immigrated in the United States with his wife, Lerma. His family will remember him for his warm smile and caring disposition. His pride and joy was his grandson, Kharl Devon and his granddaughters, Kayla Dahne, Sofia Nina and Kendra Denise whom he cared, spoiled and loved dearly.


Alberto was a man of faith who sought to find extraordinary ways to serve our God Almighty and the parish community in Ilocos. In 2006, he had chosen to join one of the world's leading Catholic fraternal service organizations, Knights of Columbus. He earned his First Degree Rank on 28th October of same year; his Second Degree in 2007; and proud to receive his Third Degree Rank on 19th January 2008. One of his key achievements in the council was to acquire the highest and most prestigious degree, the Fourth Degree from year 2009 to 2010.


There will be a private viewing for immediate family members on
CA Time - 8 April, 2021, Thursday from 1:15pm – 1:30pm and funeral mass will start at 1:30pm at the Heritage Court.

His remains will be cremated at Forest Lawn in Glendale Germantown on Monday, April 12, 2021.
