Alberto Gonzalez Escalona

Alberto "Albert" Gonzalez Escalona, age 82, of Bullhead City, Arizona passed away on February 16, 2019. Albert was born in Toluca, Mexico, the youngest of fourteen children to Miguel Escalona and Concepcion Gonzalez. In 1963, he met and danced the night away with Sandi Fabrizio, an Italian-American visiting from California. Three short months later, Albert married Sandi, the love of his life, before moving to the United States. Albert will be remembered for his contagious sense of humor his dedication & comitment to providing for his family. He was a Catholic man, a loyal man & never gave up. As a young man Albert worked as an Air Traffic Controller, then moved on with a Career at Xerox Corporation & later ran the trucking division at SprayTech. In his retirement, he could be found competing in blackjack tournaments in Laughlin, Nevada where his jokes earned him a reputation from casino to casino. Albert left his mark on everyone that crossed his path, leaving behind a story or a joke for all to share. Albert is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Sandi, his two sons, Michael and Rick, his two daughters, Lisa and Nancy, eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

A Vigil will be held on March 6th, 2019 from 5-9p. at Forest Lawn Memorial Park 21300 Via Verde Drive, Covina, CA 91724. We will also be dedicating a mass in his honor at St. Elizabeth Ann Seaton Catholic Church 2713 S Grove Ave, Ontario, CA 91761 10:00 am Thursday 3/7/19 followed by his burial at Forest Lawn Memorial Park -Covina Hills immediately after the mass. A reception will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park -Covina Hills from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm after the ceremony.
