Alberto Castañeda Aco nació en Caxhuacan, Puebla el 26 de julio de 1951 siendo el quinto hijo de su familia.  Le sobreviven su esposa, 5 hijos, 8 nietos y una bisnieta. También le sobreviven tres hermanas y un hermano y muchos sobrinos.  Alberto creció en Caxhuacan, Puebla hasta la edad de 18 años, fue cuando se mudó a la Ciudad de México. Le gustaba mucho el deporte especialmente el boxeo participando en boxeo novato/amateur con algunos boxeadores titulados. Compartía todas estas experiencias con sus hijos y nietos enseñándoles técnicas de boxeo.  Se sentaba con sus hijos a ver varias peleas de boxeo televisadas.  En Caxhuacan, a él le gustaba trabajar en el campo y los cafetales de su familia. En la ciudad de México fue cuando conoció a su esposa, y contrajeron matrimonio el 14 de septiembre de 1972.  

Alberto emigró a EEUU en busca de nuevas oportunidades primero en 1978 y después en 1985. Encontró un trabajo en el que no solo era diestro, pero también lo disfrutaba, y después del boxeo, la costura fue su pasión.   En la costura, Alberto tenía una ética fuerte de trabajo, era responsable y se hizo diestro en todas las máquinas de costura de esta manera aseguraba tener trabajo constante.  En su lugar de trabajo lo conocían como una persona trabajadora, alegre, juguetón y muy bromista siempre dispuesto a enseñar a otros. Alberto estaba orgulloso de vivir en Estados Unidos y ser un miembro activo de la sociedad de este país, un orgullo que inculcó a sus hijos y nietos.

A sus hijos y sobrinos, él daba consejos de seguir adelante a pesar de los obstáculos que se presentaran.  Alberto enseñó a su familia la importancia de la ética y la responsabilidad en el trabajo y a ser miembros activos de la sociedad. Él solía compartir con   otros lo orgulloso que estaba de que sus hijos hayan aprovechado las oportunidades de este país, que tengan una carrera  y que sean personas de bien. El éxito de sus hijos fue su mayour orgullo.  

Alberto Castañeda Aco was born in Caxhuacan, Puebla, Mexico on July 26, 1951, the fifth child in his family.  He is survived by his wife, 5 children, 8 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. He is also survived by three sisters and one brother and many nieces and nephews.   He grew up in Caxhuacan, Puebla until the age of 18, when he moved to Mexico City. He loved sports, especially boxing, and became an amateur boxer, sometimes sparring with professional fighters. He shared all these experiences with his children and grandchildren, teaching them boxing techniques and he enjoyed sitting down with his children to watch televised boxing fights.  In Caxhuacan, he also enjoyed working in his family's fields and coffee plantations. It was in Mexico City that he met his wife, and they married on September 14, 1972.   

Alberto immigrated to the U.S. in search of new opportunities, first in 1978 and then in 1985. After arriving in the U.S. Alberto found a job as a sewing machine operator where he showed great talent and found his passion.  In sewing, Alberto had a strong work ethic, was responsible, and became skilled in using all sewing machines thus ensuring he had constant work.  In his workplace, he was known as a hard worker, cheerful, playful, always quick with a joke, and willing to teach others.   Alberto was proud to live in America and be a contributing member of American society, a pride he instilled in his children and grandchildren.

To his children, nieces, and nephews, he encouraged hard work and determination, always advising them to keep going despite the obstacles that came their way.  Alberto taught his family the importance of ethics and responsibility at work and to be contributing members of society. When given the opportunity, Alberto used to share with others how proud he was that his children had taken advantage of American opportunities in this country, they had careers and were respectable and responsible citizens.  His children’s success was his greatest pride.
