Albert De Los Reyes Tiong

Albert de los Reyes Tiong was born on May 21, 1968 in Pittsburg, PA. His family moved to Baguio City, Philippines when he was an infant. He attended Baguio Patriotic Chinese School for his primary school education and graduated from Iloilo Central Commercial High School in Iloilo City. He obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Saint Louis University. Immediately after graduation, he moved to the United States and started his career in the field of accounting working in private companies. He later established his own business in a different industry.

While in high school, he met Mega. They were sweethearts for many years before getting married in 1988 in Torrance, CA. They were blessed with their first child, Nicholas Alexander (born in 1994) and their second child, Micah Gabriel (born in 2001).

In November 2010, Albert was diagnosed with colon cancer. Although he was going through chemo, he didn't let cancer stop him from living. In the past 2 years, he went twice to the Philippines, Taiwan, Mexico, and Japan.

He joined his Maker on February 12, 2013 while surrounded by family. Although it was a short 44 years, Albert lived a full life.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Mega; sons Nicholas & Micah; parents Agustin and Leonisa; sister Jean Tiong-Koehler; brother Aldwin; 2 nephews and 3 nieces.

A viewing and memorial service will be held from 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm on Sunday, February 17, 2013, at the Forest Lawn Mortuary, 4471 Lincoln Avenue, Cypress, CA 90630.
