Albert Healy, Jr.

Mr. Albert Francis Healy Jr. of Cypress, CA died at his home on December 17, 2024 at the age of 89. He was surrounded by his family at the time of his passing. Mr. Healy was a resident of Cypress for more than 55 years.

Mr. Healy was born on February 25, 1935, in Hartford, CT to Albert Francis Healey Sr. and Rose Aimee (Beaudoin) Healey. He was a graduate from Windsor High School in Windsor, CT. Upon graduation, he enlisted and served in United States Marine Corp from 1953 – 1961 earning the rank of Sergeant. While stationed in Japan, Mr. Healy studied the martial art of Judo and earned a black belt. After his service and upon returning to the United States, Mr. Healy taught Judo in Connecticut in the early 1960s. He attended the Ward School of Electronics in Hartford, CT eventually earning an Associate of Arts degree. He moved to California in the early 1960s to pursue opportunities in the electronics and aerospace field. Mr. Healy retired from Parker Hannifin in 1992. In retirement, Mr. Healy taught Tai chi at the Cypress Senior Center for a number of years.

Mr. Healy is survived by his wife of more than 59 years, Gloria Healy, his sons Paul Healy of Cypress, Terence Healy of Fullerton, grandson Chase Healy of Fullerton and his brother and sister-in-law Terrance and Diane Healy of Windsor, CT as well as many nieces and nephews.
