Agnes Nuguid Dacanay born August 28, 1944 in Manila, Philippines sadly took her last breath on April 12, 2024 in Los Angeles, California. 

Survived by her loving family: husband of 56 years Bernard, daughter Johanna, sons Jonathan and Joseph, son-in-law Patrick, daughters-in-law Rein and Cristina, granddaughters Claire, Thereze, Bianca, Mikayla and many special relatives and friends. In her memory is her father, the late Congressman Jose Nuguid, mother Amparo Nuguid and special aunt Leonila Rodriguez.

Agnes grew up attending St Theresa's School where she started her journey to be a servant of God. She received her Bachelor of Science major in History at the Assumption Convent in San Lorenzo Village, Makati and worked at the Producer-Writer's Guild of America Pension & Health Plans for twenty four years. 

She practiced her strong belief as a devout catholic and joined the Secular Franciscan third order and as well as many other religious groups. Known for her strong faith and loving nature, Agnes will be remembered for the profound impact she had on those around her. A good daughter, dependable sister, loyal friend, caring grandmother, faithful wife and most especially a loving mom, with her proudest fulfillment being her family, whom she cherished deeply.
 
Agnes spent most of her time in service to others, a reflection of her strong spirit. She dedicated her life to serving God through people and has now left behind a legacy of love and faith for all who were fortunate enough to know her.

As we bid farewell to Agnes, let us carry forward the lessons of kindness and devotion she embodied throughout her life. May she rest in peace knowing that she was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
