Adriana Jacoba Sorensen

Adriana Sorensen passed away on August 25, 2017 at the young age of 69.
Adriana was born on December 5, 1947 in the Netherlands. She came to the United States in 1958 at the age of 10. She grew up in Lakewood, CA with her parents Jake and Jane and brothers Freddy (Fritz) and Jake ( Koos). She attended Artesia High School and graduated in 1966.

After graduation she went to work at Chase Brass in the City of Commerce as a inside sales rep. She retired for Chase Brass in June 2012 after a 46 year career.

During her marriage she had two beautiful children, Andrea and Michael.

After retirement she sold her home of 28 years and moved to Corona where she lived out a happy retirement life with her daughter, granddaughter and all their animals.

Adriana enjoyed painting, reading books and loved going to the movies. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her daughter and granddaughter. She also enjoyed taking cruises throughout the United States with her parents.

She is survived by her daughter Andrea, granddaughter Alexandrea, brother Koss VanVelzen, sister's-in-law Joyce Flath, Jeannie Kozinski, Celine Flath and Kathy VanVelzen, brother's-in-law Larry Flath, Darold Flath, Greg Kosinski and nieces and nephews Michelle Barisoff, Eric VanVelzen, Jessica Freer, Rick VanVelzen, Candace Girk, James Chinn, Darren Flath and Jeremy Flath.
