Adrian Graff-Radford, 78, born on February 21, 1947. Passed away peacefully on May 28, 2025, at Eisenhower Medical Center. He was born, raised, and educated in Johannesburg, South Africa. He resided in Rancho Mirage, CA at the time of his passing. Arrangements are under the care of Forest Lawn, Cathedral City, CA.
After graduating medical school at the University of Witswatersrand, South Africa, Dr. Graff-Radford immigrated to the United States with his beloved wife and renowned real estate agent, Cass Graff-Radford. Adrian a winner of the distinguished John Charnley Award for hip replacement research, completed his residency at UCLA in joint replacement. In 1980, he moved to the Coachella Valley where he became one of the five founding partners of what today is Eisenhower Desert Orthopedic Center (DOC). A skilled and engaging clinician, Dr. Graff-Radford earned the loyalty and gratitude of thousands of patients during his 40-plus year career. When his patients spoke of him, they would often say, "he walked on water." Many in turn donated generously to the expansion of Eisenhower Medical Center.
Dr. Graff-Radford retired from clinical practice in 2013 but continued to serve on Eisenhower's board of trustees and Eisenhower Health Foundation's board of governors. His most recent endeavor was fundraising for an on-campus daycare center for children of Eisenhower staff.
When he was not practicing medicine, Adrian enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his wife and grandchildren, Jack and Blake. He was also an avid reader and regular attendee of his book club. Adrian is survived by his wife Cass, son James, daughter Vicky, and son-in-law Charles Brodsky, and the loves of his life: Jack and Blake.
Donations can be made to Eisenhower Medical Center and Jewish Federation of the Desert.
