Obituary:

Adoracion Layco, a cherished soul who graced this world with kindness and love, passed away on March 28, 2024, in Los Angeles, CA. She was born on January 15, 1929, in Bulacan, Bulacan, Philippines. Adoracion will always be remembered for her warm personality that made everyone feel welcome and her delightful sense of humor that brightened the lives of those around her.

Adoracion dedicated her life to spreading joy and care, not only within her family but also through her esteemed career at the Four Seasons Hotel in Los Angeles, CA. Her work ethic and compassion touched the hearts of many.

Her fondest memories include the holiday gatherings with her loved ones, where she would prepare her famous Kare kare and Leche flan during Christmas celebrations. Cooking and sewing were not just hobbies for Adoracion but expressions of love that she shared generously with those she held dear.

In 1951, Adoracion earned an Elementary Teaching Certificate from Far Eastern University, showcasing her commitment to education and nurturing young minds. Beyond her formal accomplishments, she actively participated in Household of Faith prayer meetings and engaged in volunteer activities that reflected her deep-rooted values.

Left to cherish her memory are her surviving family members: Ester Layco Santos (daughter), James Layco (son), and Gene Anthony Layco (son). Adoracion is now reunited in eternal peace with Antonio Layco (husband), Evelyn Layco (daughter) and Wency Layco (son), who have gone before her.

Services to honor and celebrate the life of Adoracion Layco will be held on April 25-27, 2024, at Forest Lawn - Hollywood Hills in Los Angeles. The visitation events will take place on April 25-26 from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM, while the Funeral Service will be held on April 27 at noon in the Old North Church.

Adoracion's legacy of love, laughter, and warmth will forever live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to have known her. May she rest in peace knowing she made a profound impact on those whose lives she touched.
