Adora Gones Armstrong

Adora Gones Armstrong, (Dory) daughter of Gorgonia Arca Gones and Conrado Gones was born April 24, 1949, in Tanza Cavite, Philippines. She was the fourth of eight children; four of whom preceded her in death. Dory accepted Christ at a young age at San Augustin Catholic Church, Tanza Cavite, Philipines. She worked for 15 years for the Bureau of Census in the Philippines before migrating to California December, 1979. Dory fell hopelessly in love and married Tito Anthony Armstrong October 17, 1981. Dory worked in the Insurance Industry for 32 years.
Dory, loved going to the family parties in West Covina. She also loved going to Las Vegas; she enjoyed shopping and periodically going home to the Philippines to visit her family. Exercising her green thumb, Dory loved growing her own vegetables.
Dory was a quiet person; she stayed by her husband, cooking scrumptious meals and enjoying her GMA Pinoy Television Series from the Philippines.
Dory fought the good fight of faith and made her transition peacefully on Sunday, July 21, 2019 at 10:30 AM with her husband at her bedside. She is survived by her husband Tito Anthony Armstrong, sisters Claudina Gones Bobadilla (Severino), Violeta Gones Ramos (Felipe), and Cecilia Gones Villamarzo (Gerry), brother-in-law Reverend JL (J.) Armstrong ,sister-in-law Trina G. Potter, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.
