With heavy hearts, the Villaflor family regrets to announce the passing of our beloved Adolfo Bondoc Villaflor. His sharp wit, sense of humor, warm heart and generous spirit will be deeply missed.
Adolfo Bondoc Villaflor died at 83 years old on February 7, 2022. He resided in Van Nuys, CA at the time of his passing. He is survived by his wife, Flora; his children; Alfa, Ellen and Adolfo Jr; his grandchildren; Christian, Sarah, Rachel, Tim, Andrew and Angelica; his great grandson, Jace; his sister, Abella and his former spouse, Emma. He is predeceased by his parents, Jacobo and Diega; his brothers, Robert, Benjamin and Jacobo Jr. and by his sisters; Loretta and Cora.
Adolfo graduated in the field of engineering in Manila, Philippines. He worked overseas in Vietnam in the late 60's and also worked in Iran in the 70's. He migrated in the U.S. in 1980 and owned and operated Adolfo Villaflor Plumbing and Heating until he retired in 2012.
In his younger years, Adolfo loved traveling and learning new languages. Aside from his native languages, he also spoke English, Vietnamese and Farsi. He also loved to read books, tech magazines and National Geographic. He love watching sports especially basketball and was a true Laker's fan. In his later years, he preferred staying at home and fixing anything that needed repairs or worked on home improvements.
Adolfo's dedication to those around him was undeniable. He was a doting husband, a stern but loving father and loyal to those lucky enough to be called his friend. He was a mentor to some, a confidant to many and a hero to his family. He sacrificed and worked hard to give his family a better future. He will truly be missed.
Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Hollywood Hills, California. Visitation is scheduled on March 27, 2022 between 12:00 pm â 4:00 pm. Services will be held on March 28th at 12:00 pm. Nicheside services for family and close friends on March 31st at 3:30 pm.
