Adewunmi Adenike Fashola aka Wunmi was born on May 4, 1962, in Ondo, Nigeria to Samuel Oladiran and Moradeke Adewoyin.

Her earliest years were lived with maternal grandparents at Okesare, Ondo town, and in Ile-Oluji with her father's family. She attended Christ Primary School for her primary education, and St. Monica's Secondary School, Ondo before returning to Lagos to live with her dad.

In Lagos, she worked for Wema bank for two years. Then she attended the College of Education, Ijaniki where she received a NCE Diploma in Home Economics. Afterwards, she went to work for the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) as a senior officer in the welfare and benefits department.

In 1987, she met and married her sweetheart, Taiwo Fashola and they were blessed with a baby girl in 1988, Folayemi. They later had a boy, Boluwatito in 1994.

In December of 1997, Adewunmi moved to Los Angeles, California with her husband and children. In January 1999, she achieved a lifelong dream of becoming a Nurse as she obtained her License of Vocational Nursing. Over the course of her nursing career, she worked at a number of healthcare facilities including Northridge Hospital and Mission Community Hospital. In 2005, she became a federal government employee at the Veterans Affairs West LA. In 2007, she and her husband established AD&T Group Home, an adult residential facility in Northridge, California. In 2008, she went back to school, and in 2010 she earned her Associate Degree in Nursing, and became a licensed Registered Nurse.

Adewunmi Fashola was a member and worker of the Redeemed Christian Church of God in Lagos Nigeria and in Van Nuys, California.

Adewunmi went to be with the Lord on October 23, 2012.

She is survived by her husband Taiwo Fashola, children Folayemi Fashola and Bolutito Fashola, her mother, and her siblings.
