Adelaida Deogracias Bautista

Adelaida Deogracias Bautista, 82, born on October 16, 1931, in Binmaley, Pangasinan, Philippines, passed away January 24, 2014. She resided in Cerritos, California, at the time of her passing. Adelaida was one of six children born to Jose and Emilia Deogracias and the oldest of four daughters. She graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy from Philippine Women's College in Manila in 1952. That same year she married Bonifacio Damacion. They were married for 11 years until his passing in 1963. Together they had five children, Merie Joy, Evelyn, George, Genato and Gerry. She remarried in 1966 to Valerio Bautista. Together they had five children, Primo, Mary Jane, Alex, Edgar and Vilma. Valerio and Adelaida moved their large family to the United States in 1974, settling in Long Beach. Adelaida worked hard to help support her family, including owning and operating several elderly boarding care homes in the area. She and her husband bought a house in Cerritos in 1985 and have lived there since. Adelaida loved family gatherings, playing the slot machines and watching game shows. She was granted her wish by passing peacefully at home with her beloved family by her side. She is survived by her sisters, Monica, Antonia and Nena, her husband, 10 children, 24 grandchildren and 7 great grand children. She will always be remembered for her favorite saying, "God Bless, Good Luck!"
