Abdalla S. Atalla

Abdalla S. Atalla, 87, born on February 16, 1932, in Cairo, Egypt, passed away December 18, 2019 in Monrovia, California. He resided in Arcadia, CA at the time of his passing and was a retired Structural Engineer. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Covina Hills, California. Dr. Atalla attained his PhD in structural engineering at an early age in Moscow, Russia. Afterward, he moved back to Cairo, Egypt where he met and married his wife in 1971. He welcomed two daughters soon after and lived with his family in Cairo until he came along with this family to the United States in 1981. He resided with his family in Arcadia, Ca and worked for Parsons in Pasadena, CA until his retirement. He leaves behind his wife of 48 years, Lily, daughters Dalia and Dina, his sons-in-law, Mina Shaker and Hany Mikhail, his three grandsons, Christopher, Jonathan, and Jonah, and is succeeded by his sisters Violet Sorial and Elizabeth Atalla and his nieces and nephews: Nawal, Susan, Margo, Jetta, Sahra, Amira, Eva, Nora, Adel, Mona, Asraf, Sherif, Ehab, Aza, Emad, Magdy, and Mary as well other extended family members and dear friends. Dr Atalla was the kindest and most generous man. He loved his family and sacrificed everything for their happiness. He was truly a man of God and genuinely cared for others. He was a man of few words, but his actions spoke volumes of his undying faithfulness to God and his cheerfulness to serve others. He is deeply missed by all who knew him, but all his family and friends rejoice at his entrance into the heavens where he now sits at the right hand of the father. We love you dearly.
